2008 PAWS T-Shirts are available at the shelter for $15.00 each. Sizes S, M, L, XL, and 2XL.
The 2008 Paws in the Park fundraiser was another successful, fun, and productive event. The First Baptist Church of Richland provided water stops along the route and helped with the start line and setup. Jeff Kinne of the Department of Corrections demonstrated the unique abilities of his K-9 Dog Danner. Nanny Canine set up an agility course and led a trick and 'cutest dog' contest. The Dog Park Society built a fenced area for dogs to play with their friends. There were raffles of great pet items, pet dental exam, free Spay/Neuter and other goodies, plus a lot of fun for the whole family.
As usual, the temporary Dog Park was the main attraction. In addition to promoting the welfare of animals by getting them adopted to loving homes, BFHS enthusiastically supports the Dog Park concept to give dogs healthy exercise and to improve their behavior around other animals.
Special THANKS to VCA animal hospitals of Richland and Kennewick for their generous donation of a free spay/neuter and a free dental exam for the raffles. And THANKS to all who participated by pledging to support the dog walk-a-thon.
