It is often that otherwise qualified families cannot afford the adoption fees and other expenses of bringing home a new family pet.  You can help ensure that a shelter animal has a better chance at a loving home by underwriting some or all of the adoption expense.  The posting for the sponsored pet will show the new reduced fee.

At your request, BFHS may also identify you as the sponsor.  Should you donate more than is needed to cover adoption fees for one animal, the remainder will be applied to another animal, reducing fees for both.

Call the Adoption Manager at 374-4235 or email BFHS to discuss sponsoring the adoption of one of our current shelter animals.  If you do not have a particular animal in mind, we will usually suggest one that has had a difficult time being adopted.  Financial support for the adoption may be all that is needed to put an otherwise unwanted animal into a loving future home.
