Caring for so many animals is not only rewarding and time-consuming, it is also quite expensive. Animal care expenses, medical supplies, power and water, communication and other expenses are typical of a commercial enterprise of this size. Without the support of generous donors and committed volunteers, BFHS could not exist, much less perform its stated mission.

***The shelter always needs clean used towels, dog and cat food, paper towels and especially cat litter (we use 50 lbs. of litter a day.) Bring pet care and food items to the shelter. The Wish List is posted on this site and on a board outside in front of the Shelter. Or, call us to find out what our current needs are.
NOTE: Network for Good operates a secure web site for on-line transactions. You may schedule one-time or periodic contributions charged to a credit or debit card. All contributions made via Network for Good are credited to BFHS, less a fee of 3%. You may also opt to cover the 3% fee, in which case Network for Good will remit 100% to BFHS.
