Every month, a volunteer will be honored here for their service to the shelter. If you see the Volunteer of the Month anywhere, in the shelter, at the mall, or anywhere else, please thank them for their support of BFHS.

Here's Mayra Bueno, Volunteer of the Month for March 2010!
Mayra completed her volunteer orientation last year. She likes to walk dogs and help take care of them. Her favorites are the smaller ones like John Wayne, the Miniature Australian Shepherd shown in the picture. Mayra says, "He's beautiful - just look at those eyes!" She wants to be a veterinarian someday, and in the meantime we're lucky to have her as part of our team.
