Are you interested in helping with the rescued American Eskimo dogs?

The Benton-Franklin Humane Society is searching for foster homes for the American Eskimo dogs recently rescued from a Benton County kennel.

Successful applicants will be able to provide a loving environment and adequate time devoted to socializing the dogs. Knowledge of the breed is not required, but is helpful.

Please understand that the ADULT dogs currently at the BFHS shelter are the most unsocial and untrained of all the dogs taken from the kennel. They have had little to no human contact before coming to us and will need a lot of work to become adoptable pets. Also, fostering one of these dogs does not mean you are adopting it…but, if you are interested in adoption, your foster status will be taken into consideration.

Anyone interested can fill out a fostering application at our shelter, which is located at 8620 W. Gage Blvd. in Kennewick (behind the Sonic Drive-in at the intersection of Gage and Grandridge) during regular business hours (12pm-5pm Mon-Fri and 10am-6pm Sat.). A copy of your photo ID will be required.

Thank you for your help!
